With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West Oahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West Oahu's only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women's center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state's first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawaii that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

In the Otolaryngology department, our board-certified physicians specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the ear, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. This team of professionals oversees patients with loss of hearing or balance; sinus troubles; injuries to the ears, nose or throat; cancer and tumors of the head and neck; infections and deformities of the ear, nose, throat or neck; and foreign bodies in the upper respiratory tract.

As a Medical Assistant in our Otolaryngology department, you will join the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide our recognized compassionate health services to patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities . We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), OR Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologist (AMT), OR Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency testing (NCCT), OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Registry of Medical Assistants, OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) from the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card. Must Be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.

Preferred Experience: One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician's office, or related experience.
