Description: Medical Assistant Job Details Job Type Full-time PEORIA, AZ Description Full Job Description We are looking for a motivated Medical Assistant to join our Pain Management team! Position Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent written skills, strong attention to detail. Must have strong customer service bases attitude and ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively. Possess a sound understanding of Medical Assisting responsibilities, including charting, rooming patients, chart preparation, and pain management procedures and orders. Position Duties: Including, but not limited to: o As a Medical Assistant of our practice, you will be responsible for providing and assisting the provider in the clinical documentation necessary during a clinical visit under direct supervision of the provider o Maintain working knowledge of common medications, including dosages and indications o Ensures provider completes all steps of discharge process o Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes o Ability to navigate EHR to retrieve and enter documentation o Assist back office patient check out. o Assist provider with note prep/review at check out o Outgoing referral to specialists, completing orders for imaging, etc. o Assist with add-ons chart prep for next day (prepare for week and check add-ons) Imaging, referring provider notes, scans, etc. o Triage calls o Transfer patient to receptionist or procedure scheduler for next visit scheduling o Assist with in-office injections when needed o Complete urine drug screens o Scanning, assign into EMR, verify all chart notes H & P o Maintains clean and orderly back office area o Performs others related duties as assigned o Develops communication skills and promote departmental relationships to ensure continuity of care. o Provides assistance to team members, physicians, and anesthesia personnel as needed (i.e. reliability, initiative, work relations, training needs) Job Type: Full-time Bilingual preferred, but not required Work setting: In-person Experience: Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Medical Assistant Diploma (Preferred) Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Requirements: PIae8dcf550979-25448-358060905c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
