WCS Healthcare is partnering with a respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Philadelphia, PA to hire an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for its Managed Care Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate healthcare professional who is passionate about providing high-quality care to diverse and underserved patient populations. The Medical Assistant will work closely with a collaborative clinical team, including a Registered Nurse and Physician Assistant, to support patient care and improve health outcomes.

  • Monday-Friday
  • 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • No weekends

Position Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant will support the Managed Care Team by performing both clinical and administrative duties. This role includes direct patient interaction, phlebotomy, and assisting providers in delivering comprehensive primary care services.

The clinic sees approximately 10-15 patients per day, allowing staff to provide personalized, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Document patient information accurately within the EMR
  • Assist with medication reconciliation and patient education
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care as needed
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards
  • Support the RN and Provider in delivering high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Required

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
  • Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Strong phlebotomy skills and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
  • Experience serving underserved or vulnerable patient populations
  • Primary Care experience
  • Managed Care experience
