About the Role:
Xpress Pediatrics in Pikesville, MD is looking for a compassionate and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dedicated pediatric care team! Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with pediatric patient examinations and procedures
• Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in the EMR system
• Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications as directed by the provider
• Prepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms between patient visits
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, and rapid diagnostic testing
• Communicate with patients and families in a warm, professional, and age-appropriate manner
• Support front office functions including scheduling, check-in, and insurance verification as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred
• Prior experience in a pediatric, urgent care, or outpatient clinical setting is a plus
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent bedside manner with the ability to connect with children and anxious parents
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
