Medical Assistant – Orthopedic Spine Practice
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay Range: $18-$23/hour

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Document patient history and update records in the EMR
- Assist physician with exams and procedures
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Coordinate imaging orders (MRI, CT, X-ray)
- Provide basic patient education and follow-up instructions
Administrative Duties
- Verify patient information and insurance
- Assist with scheduling and patient flow
- Manage phone calls, messages, and documentation
- Scan/upload documents into EMR
- Support prior authorizations and referrals
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Currently enrolled in or completed a healthcare-related program preferred
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Comfortable using computers and learning EMR systems
- Professional communication skills
