Medical Assistant (MA) – Primary Care
Location: Port Jefferson, NY
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 7:30 AM-6:00 PM | Fridays Off
Pay: Starting at $22/hour + Benefits Day One

A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Primary Care team in Port Jefferson, NY. This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant looking for a consistent 4-day work week, strong benefits, and the opportunity to support providers while delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform patient intake and accurately document patient information
  
• 
  Obtain and record vital signs
  
• 
  Prepare patients for examinations and provider visits
  
• 
  Assist physicians with exams and office procedures
  
• 
  Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing
  
• 
  Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture
  
• 
  Document patient information in an EMR/EHR system
  
• 
  Maintain exam rooms and follow infection control procedures
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Medical Assistant experience in a physician office, primary care, or outpatient setting
  
• 
  Medical Assistant certification preferred
  
• 
  High School Diploma required
  
• 
  EMR/EHR experience preferred
  
• 
  Strong clinical skills, including vital signs, EKGs, and blood draws
  
• 
  Excellent communication and patient care skills
  

Schedule:

• 
  Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
  
• 
  Four 10-hour shifts
  
• 
  Fridays off
