We are currently looking for compassionate, organized, and reliable Medical Assistants to be the smiling faces that guide every patient and family through their visits at Puddle Dock. The ideal candidate will enjoy diving into all aspects of supporting a small office and working side-by-side with the physicians. This position involves assisting with well visits and same-day appointments as well as general patient care and support for weekdays.

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Welcome patients and families with warmth and professionalism.
• \n
• Check patients in and out, verify insurance, and collect co-pays.
• \n
• Accompany patients to exam/procedure room.
• \n
• Assist patients as needed with collecting specimens; perform in-house testing when appropriate.
• \n
• Prepare for exam by collecting patient history and completing screenings per provider guidelines.
• \n
• Assist the physician with various procedures.
• \n
• Coordinate with other clinical staff to support smooth operations and timely care.
• \n
• Document/chart; relay instructions to patients/families.
• \n
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls/messages appropriately.
• \n
• Order, sort & store supplies; and restock exam/procedure rooms.
• \n

What We’re Looking For:

• \n
• Previous medical office and/or pediatrics experience preferred, but not required – we will train the right person.
• \n
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• \n
• Comfort using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.
• \n
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• \n
• Professional, team-oriented individuals with a desire for growth.
