Join us as a Health Support Specialist and play a key role in supporting client access to care while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and client-centered environment across JAMHI services. Under the general supervision of program leadership, you will support daily administrative and clinical coordination, including scheduling, intake processes, and client communications, while ensuring confidentiality and respect in every interaction. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing front-line administrative tasks, and assisting with basic clinical duties such as specimen collection, injections, and lab preparation.

You will collaborate closely with JAMHI staff across multiple service lines to coordinate care, support medication management, and assist with pre-authorizations for services and treatments. You will also help maintain accurate records, communicate program requirements clearly, and ensure the clinic remains organized, responsive, and accessible to clients in both routine and fast-paced situations.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
AND
  • One year experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • One year of data entry, scheduling, or clerical work (can be same position as above)
  • Ability to move between Salmon Creek and Jordan Creek Clinics.
Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.
 
 
All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver’s license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.​
