We are seeking a reliable, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team at Lia Diagnostics. You will support doctors and nurses by managing both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure our office runs efficiently and patients receive top-tier care.
Key Responsibilities :
Interview patients and accurately document basic medical histories.
Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, weight).
Prepare treatment and examination rooms.
Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
Draw blood, collect specimens, and perform basic on-site lab tests.
Administer medications and injections as directed.
Administrative Duties:
Organize and schedule patient appointments.
Update and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Handle front desk duties, including patient check-ins and check-outs.
Process insurance information and assist with medical coding/billing.
Manage medical supply inventory and place orders when necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) highly desired.
Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, proficiency with EHR software, and basic math/accounting skills.
Soft Skills: Excellent time management, social perceptiveness, and a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
