Medical Assistant/Scribe - Podiatry Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe at our Cottonwood clinic in Podiatry. The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the healthcare team, working with physicians, PAs, nurses and Rad Techs to provide patients with an exceptional experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent grammar and writing skills, ability to multi-task, adapt to change and handle all patient interactions with compassion and professionalism.Excellent customer service skills - able to communicate courteously and effectively to patients.Basic arithmetic, computer and analytical skills.Must be dependable, flexible, and multi-task oriented.Enjoy working with people, being a team player and willing to help others with tasks.Must be able to read, communicate and write well in English.Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff and patients.Additional languages helpful.Essential Functions and Duties:Prepare in advance required information for patient visitsGreet, room and complete patient intake interviewConvey patient intake information to treating provider, accompany provider during patient examAccurately transcribe information into the chart as provider examines patient, discusses the treatment/plan of careAssist provider with educating patients on proposed treatment plan, procedure instructions and moreReturn patient phone calls in a timely manner, compassionately relaying information between provider & patientAdequately document all patient interactions in electronic medical recordAssist procedure team with transferring patients from procedure tableAssist patients from wheelchair to recovery chair.Instruct patients on after-care instructionsProvide patients with follow up plan, schedulingOther duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious scribe experience preferredHealthcare training or certification strongly desiredPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Physical work; assisting with patient transfers and wheelchair transport.Repetitive motion associated with transporting patients, operating a computer and other office equipmentInside, climate-controlled working conditions as well as outside, possible all weather conditions.Granger Medical Clinic offers competitive wages and excellent benefits.
