Education:
Minimum: High School Degree or equivalent
Preferred: Graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assistant.
License/
Certifications:
Minimum: BLS required through RQI
Preferred: Certification obtained from a Medical Assistant School licensed by New York State preferred.
Experience:

Preferred: Prior experience in a physician office or other medical setting, or completion of accredited school for Medical Assistants.

Minimum: The Medical Assistant must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients, families, and staff. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
