UPMC is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant, Senior to support the Stull, Jarvis and Spinola Internal Medicine Associates practice located at Magee - Women's Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. No weekends or holidays!
25% or more travel will be required to assist other off-site Stull, Jarvis and Spinola Internal Medicine Associates locations for staffing needs. *Manager will discuss further during interview

What Makes This Department Unique?
Our team offers a dynamic and diverse clinical experience that extends beyond a traditional internal medicine practice. In addition to supporting primary care patients, team members have the opportunity to work with the Magee-Women's Hospital Pre-Operative Center, where they can expand their clinical skills through phlebotomy, EKGs, and interactions with patients from a wide range of specialties requiring medical clearance prior to surgery.
We also collaborate closely with the UPMC Chronic Pain team, providing exposure to a specialized patient population and the opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. This variety allows team members to broaden their clinical knowledge and gain experience in multiple areas of patient care.

Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant Senior:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT
OR successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA
OR at least 1 year of patient care experience required.
Must be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in three practice category specific tasks.
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
Prior medical assistant, clinical, or direct patient care experience highly preferred
Prior EPIC or Electronic medical Record experience preferred
