Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant supports physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties, as a crucial part of the wellness team. We are looking for a rock star who understands customer service, is reliable, and has an upbeat personality. Patient Care & Clinical- Prepares and maintains treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
- Performs screening tests, such as height and weight measurements, blood pressure checks, PFTs, EKGs, cognitive exams, hearing and vision screenings, etc.
- Administers injections and performs lab draws
- Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback (will train)
- Setting up and assisting physicians with procedures, including hormone pellets, sutures, excisions, stress tests
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and properly disposes of contaminated supplies
Front Office Support- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions, scheduling, and general clinic information
- Coordinate required lab work and educate patients on clinical instructions, following all infection-control, HIPAA, and patient-safety standards
- Provide an exceptional patient experience from initial contact through ongoing care
Education & Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical environment, concierge healthcare preferable
- Demonstrated proficiency performing venipuncture/blood draws and injections
- Wellness-minded as a credible example of what we teach our patients
- Strong understanding of patient confidentiality
- Professional and personable written and verbal communication with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Punctual, reliable, and highly organized
- Free of any visible tattoos
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and common computer applications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred
- Experience with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy a plus
- IV and/or ARRT certification a plus
Working ConditionsOvertime expectations: Occasional.
Work environment: Must be able to be on feet and walking for long periods of time. This position works in a well-lit, air conditioned clinical environment. Must have ability to assist in lifting patients, if needed. Tasks may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
Travel requirements: Local travel may be required for in-home visits with patients.
