Medical Assistant

About the Role:
CardioClinic in Sugarland, TX is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic cardiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while growing your career in a specialized, fast-paced clinical environment.



Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and cardiology procedures
• Record and update patient medical histories, vitals, and EHR documentation
• Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, ABIs, Treadmill stress test, heart monitor placements, and vital sign measurements
• Prepare and room patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow
• Administer medications and injections as directed by supervising physicians
• Coordinate lab orders, referrals, and prior authorizations
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) credential preferred
• 3+ year of clinical medical assistant experience, cardiology experience a plus
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical documentation
• Experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered bedside manner
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume clinical setting
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
