Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing support for providers, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, cleaning instruments and rooms, setting up and assisting with procedures. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, has previous office experience, and experience documenting in an electronic medical record.


Responsibilities 

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
• Clean instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist doctors with medical care and procedures
• Track test results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

Qualifications

• Experience with EMR
• Strong attention to detail 
• Ability to work with a team and independently
• Excellent customer service skills
