Pay: $20 to $23 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Medical Assistant Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) welcome
- Experience with patient scheduling and referrals required
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and patient care workflows
Medical Assistant Position Summary
The Medical Assistant supports providers by delivering both clinical and administrative assistance in a busy outpatient setting. This role is responsible for patient flow, clinical support, documentation, and front office coordination. Candidates should be organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a high-volume medical environment.
Medical Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow and check schedules
- Escort patients to exam and procedure rooms
- Assist patients with walking, dressing, transfers, and specimen collection
- Collect patient history and record vital signs
- Perform screenings per provider guidelines
- Assist providers with charting and clinical support
- Conduct phone triage and relay provider instructions to patients and families
- Administer medications as directed
- Answer calls and provide patient information
- Verify prescriptions with physician orders
- Send and receive patient medical records
- Obtain lab, imaging, hospital, and referral records
- Complete forms and requisitions as needed
- Schedule patient appointments
- Perform check-in and check-out processes
- Verify insurance coverage and update patient demographics
- Maintain and update patient charts for accuracy and completeness
- Support referral coordination (required experience)
- Follow patient rights guidelines and respond to emergency codes
- Communicate patient or staff concerns to supervisor
Medical Assistant Additional Qualifications
- Experience in referrals coordination strongly required
- EMR experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting
- Professional, team-oriented attitude
