QualDerm Partners is currently seeking a skilled Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our Valparaiso, IN team. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant at our Valparaiso location, you will be an integral part of our clinical staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and smooth practice operations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting comprehensive medical histories.
  • Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures, providing necessary tools and support.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and support effective communication within the practice.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and skincare routines.
  • Ensure examination rooms are kept clean, organized, and stocked with required medical supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role is advantageous.
  • Understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written for effective patient interactions.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a medical setting.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software is beneficial.
