Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will provide essential clinical and administrative support in a community outpatient clinic serving patients of all ages. This role operates Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and requires CA state certification. The successful candidate works independently and collaboratively within a clinical team, reporting directly to a nursing supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and record vital signs
• Manage and update medical records accurately
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Educate patients on healthcare procedures and treatments
• Assist clinical staff during examinations and procedures
• Collect specimens following proper protocols
• Sterilize and maintain medical equipment

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CA state certified)

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical assisting
