Job Summary
The Recovery Mobile Clinic is looking for Medical Assistants to Join out team! We are a Unique clinic in which we operate out of RVs and SUVs partnering with community agencies taking healthcare to those who need it most. We are a 501C3 Nonprofit organization, so we NEVER send bills to our patients. We focus on helping patients who suffer with mental illness, homelessness and Substance Use Disorder. We travel to homeless shelters, transitional houses, inpatient treatmetn facilities and more.  We are also Growing! We are looking for someone who wants mobililty in their job. 

Because of our unique Model your role at the Recovery Mobile Clinic will resenble some traditional roles as a Medical Assistant, and some that are unique to the Recovery Mobile Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will be learning the EMR system we utilize, Clinic tracker, and assisting Nurse Practitioners in Patient care. You will be performing front desk duties such as checking insurances, inputting vaccine data into MCIR, updating patient information and performing scheduling and patient calls. You will also learn how to assist patients in applying for medicaid and SNAP benefits. You will also participate in back of the office duties such as Phlebotomy, Vaccine administration, IM injections, wound care, vitals, urine collection and more.  You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments, maintaining and washing RVs and SUVs and other station maintaince tasks. You will also be trained in driving an suv and an RV! FUN! 

 The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience. The Recovery Mobile Clinic has built their success on the fact that we are a reliable and consistent medical clinic. Consistency and reiability is immensly important. But most improtantly, the ideal candidate has to have an open and accepting personality to treat the clients we see with respect and compassion. 


Responsibilities 

• Prepare for the patient visit, as well as setting up medical equipment
• Clean instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist Nurse Pracititoners with basic medical care and procedures
• Track lab results, schedule patients, assist with medicaid applicaitons and handle basic medical office duties
• Stocking and cleaning and prepping medical units at the beginning and end of every day. 
• Cleaning RV's, Cleaning SUV's, Stocking units and other office maintence tasks. 
• Daily Driving RVs and SUVs to Site locations.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification 
•  Certified Medical Assistant desired, Phlebotomy Certification acepted 
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Cheuffers License (company reimbursed) 
• Certified Medical Examination completed prior to start date (company reimbursed)
