Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and insurance guidelines from claim submission to payment collection, Medical Biller/Collector must have experience in handling insurance denials and appeals. Job is not remote.
Responsibilities
- Timely submission of claims to variety of insurance payers including PPO's, HMO's, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and CalOptima.
- Follow up unpaid claims and work toward resolution.
- Resolve billing discrepancies.
- Must have 2+ years of experience in a hands on Medical Billing/Collection position.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Be able to time manage and take direction.
- Strong computer skills, EMR Skills
- Experience with HMO, PPO, and state payors.
- Experience with claim appeals and aging accounts.
