Medical Biller and Coder

About the Role:
Bee Busy Wellness Center in Houston, TX is looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coder to join our growing team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our practice running smoothly by ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims. Responsibilities:

• Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient records and medical procedures
• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and appeals in a timely manner
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances to accounts
• Communicate with providers, clinical staff, and payers to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in medical billing and coding in a clinical or healthcare setting
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• CPC, CCS, or equivalent medical coding certification preferred
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management software
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing, EOBs, and payer guidelines
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
