Medical Biller

Bahr Dermatology is looking for an experienced, dependable medical biller to join our physician-owned dermatology practice. This is an in-person position in Bountiful, Utah.

We are looking for someone who understands the medical billing process, can independently manage the billing and accounts receivable process, is detail-oriented, and takes ownership of resolving outstanding claims and patient balances.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

• \n
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims.
• \n
• Manage accounts receivable, including aging claims, denials, unpaid and underpaid claims.
• \n
• Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve payment discrepancies.
• \n
• Submit appeals and follow claims through resolution.
• \n
• Post insurance and patient payments and reconcile batches.
• \n
• Monitor patient balances and assist with billing questions.
• \n
• Maintain accurate payer information and fee schedules.
• \n
• Track A/R, collections, denials, and other key billing metrics.
• \n
• Work with front-office staff to ensure accurate collection of copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• \n
• Communicate billing concerns and trends to practice leadership.

Qualifications

\n

Required:

\n

• \n
• Previous professional medical billing experience.
• \n
• Experience with insurance claims and accounts receivable.
• \n
• Experience reading and interpreting EOBs.
• \n
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM.
• \n
• Experience with denials, appeals, and insurance follow-up.
• \n
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• \n
• Ability to work independently and follow through.
• \n
• Dependable and professional communication skills.
• \n

Preferred:

\n

• \n
• Dermatology billing experience.
• \n
• Experience with Mohs surgery, biopsies, excisions, pathology, or other dermatologic procedures.
• \n
• Experience with Medicare and commercial insurance carriers.
• \n
