Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our growing multi-location medical practice. This is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, follow-up on unpaid claims, and maximizing reimbursement while maintaining compliance with all payer guidelines.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review and correct claim prior to submission
  • Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims with insurance companies
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits when needed
  • Work aging reports and identify trends in denials with recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all payer regulations and guidelines
  • Communicate with front desk, billing team, and providers to resolve billing issues
  • Assist with patient billing inquiries and payment plans as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of medical billing experience
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
  • Experience with payer portals (i.e. Medicare Connex, Availity, UHC, etc)
  • Experience with EMR/PM systems 
  • Strong understanding of claim denials and appeals process
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding medical billing process and guidelines
  • Experience in interventional pain management and vascular preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of prior authorizations, predeterminations, and referrals
