Pay Rate: $21.00–$23.00/hour

Are you an experienced medical billing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment? J. Morrissey is partnering with a busy specialty medical practice in Farmington, CT to identify a Medical Billing Administrator/Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering exceptional customer service, and helping patients navigate their medical billing questions.
Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of inbound calls from patients regarding medical billing inquiries.
• Assist patients with questions related to past due balances, billing statements, and payment options.
• Review and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to help patients understand insurance processing and financial responsibility.
• Research patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients while providing accurate information.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly and maintain account records.
• Collaborate with internal billing and insurance teams to resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous medical billing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), insurance payments, and patient financial responsibility.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy inbound phone volume.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with medical billing systems and electronic medical records is a plus.
