Medical Billing and Coding Specialist
LHH recruitment solutions is hiring for a medical billing and coding specialist in the West Palm Beach, FL area. Our client is searching for a medical biller and coder with a strong background working in a Dr. Office setting. This role is working fully in office. Responsibilities to include:
Analyze Records: Review patient medical charts, physician notes, and clinical documentation to identify all diagnoses and procedures.
Assign Codes: Translate medical services into universal, standardized alphanumeric codes using ICD-10 (diagnoses), CPT (procedures), and HCPCS (equipment and supplies) sets.
Maintain Compliance: Ensure all codes align strictly with federal regulations, OIG guidelines, and HIPAA.
Claims Processing: Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to third-party insurance payers.
Insurance Follow-up: Track claim statuses and investigate, correct, and appeal denied or rejected claims.
Patient Collections: Calculate patient deductibles and copayments, issue billing statements, and set up payment plan.
This position is a Contract to hire opportunity that will pay $21-$25/hr depending on resume and experience.
