What You'll Do

* Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction
* Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and healthcare careers
* Follow the provided curriculum and maintain basic classroom documentation
* Mentor students by sharing practical knowledge, professionalism, and real-world experience

What We're Looking For

Relevant backgrounds may include: Medical Billing, Medical Coding, CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA.

* 3+ years of current medical billing and coding experience or 1+ year of medical billing and coding course instructor experience
* Active CPC, CCS, and/or equivalent coding certification required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Teaching, mentoring, coaching, precepting, or training experience preferred but not required
* Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening

Days: Monday-Friday
Typical Class Length: 1.5 hours
Schedule: Approximately 3 hours per instructional day, including preparation and classroom responsibilities
Assignment Length: Year-long assignment

Compensation

* $87-$94 per instructional session, based on experience and certifications
* Flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunity
