Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks
License: Active medical license in any one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
Education: Medical Doctor / Physician
Experience Needed:
- Prior experience working with or supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) is required.
- Experience reviewing SSA disability claims, medical evidence, or disability determinations is strongly preferred.
Special Skills Needed:
- Strong knowledge of SSA disability programs, policies, and case review processes.
- Strong medical case review and documentation skills.
- Ability to complete accurate assessments within required timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review SSA disability claims and supporting medical evidence.
- Prepare accurate, policy-compliant medical assessments.
- Complete assigned cases within required turnaround times.
- Participate in required SSA training and quality-review activities.
Misc: Favorable suitability determination required. SSA provides a laptop and access to required systems. The monthly quality target is 96%, with an average turnaround requirement of 5 business days.
