A Biopharmaceutical organization in Conshohocken, PA is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Data & Analytics Steward (Contractor) to support the Medical Affairs organization.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***

This role will serve as a critical link between data, systems, and business insights-ensuring high-quality data management, enabling effective territory alignment, and supporting the development of actionable analytics for field medical teams.

The ideal candidate will combine strong data stewardship capabilities with an understanding of CRM systems and analytics tools, helping to translate business needs into scalable, insight-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Stewardship & Governance

  • Serve as the data steward for Medical Affairs, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Maintain and manage Medical-specific entries within the organization's enterprise Data Catalog, including definitions, metadata, and data standards.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data usage, documentation, and governance within Medical.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Commercial, Compliance) to align on data standards and definitions.

Analytics & Dashboard Enablement

  • Partner with Medical Affairs leaders to gather and refine requirements for field medical dashboards and other analytics solutions.
  • Translate business questions into clear data and reporting requirements for development teams.
  • Support data validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) of dashboards and reports.
  • Leverage Power BI (user-level expertise) to review outputs, ensure accuracy, and optimize usability for stakeholders.

CRM

  • Maintain HCP and organizational data quality, including coordination of updates and issue resolution with Veeva Medical CRM
  • Act as a subject matter resource for CRM-related data and processes within Medical Affairs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders across Medical Affairs, IT, Commercial Operations, and Data/Analytics teams.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure solutions meet strategic and operational needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, reporting capabilities, and system utilization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Life Sciences, Data Analytics, Information Systems).
  • 3-6+ years of experience in data management, analytics, CRM systems, or related roles, preferably within life sciences or healthcare.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Data query languages, particularly SOQL, and database structures
    • Veeva Medical CRM
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools (user-level proficiency; development experience a plus).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Field Medical (MSL) teams or Medical Affairs organizations.
  • Familiarity with data catalogs, data dictionaries, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with Veeva Network and Veeva Align
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical or biotech data ecosystems.
