POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for facilitation of all aspects of credentialing and privileging of medical-dental staff. Interfaces with various departments to collect pertinent data to ensure compliance with JCAHO, NCQA and federal and state regulatory agencies. Facilitates and monitors medical-dental staff standing committee meetings, ad-hoc and special committee meetings. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Associates Degree in a health care related or business management field or equivalent experience is preferred. Three years of experience in medical staff services in a health system is required. At least one year of supervisory experience is required. Thorough understanding of JCAHO, NCQA, federal, state and regulatory agency requirements is required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPMSM and/or CPCS) is preferred at employment or required upon completion of 3-years of employment for this position.
