Medical Device Development Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Physics or Materials, Electrical, Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree/study/experience a plus
Therapy-based or medical device-based, lead or electrode related Cardiac, Endovascular, Neurovascular knowledge and experience including various pulse regimes and electro-chemical testing. Medical coating knowledge, a plus
Experience with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), metallography cross-sectioning, micro-sectioning. EDS experience, a plus
Hands-on laboratory experience involving DOE, Optical Microscopy, failure analysis or materials testing and characterization
Medical Implant Testing
Statistical expertise, a plus
Alloy Development Experience, a plus
Manufacturing Process Development Experience, a plus
Ability to be both internal and customer facing, a plus
Project management skills; knowledge of process and project planning best practices.
Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals.
Demonstrates initiative; results oriented.
Effective decision making skills - ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments.
