Medical Device Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Medical Device Electrical Engineer
Location: IN Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Duration: 5+ Months
Pay Rate: $40/hr(DOE)W2 Max

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Electrical Engineer to support electronic medical device product development, sustaining engineering, and end-of-life product activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with medical device design controls, embedded electronics/firmware, product verification, and IEC 60601-1.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology; Electrical Engineering preferred

• 5 10 years of experience in medical device product design/development

• Strong experience with Medical Device Design Controls

• Hands-on experience supporting electronic medical equipment/devices with embedded firmware

• Experience with medical device verification and testing

• Working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 820.30

• Knowledge of IEC 60601-1 and applicable quality/regulatory requirements

• Experience supporting existing product designs, design changes, product improvements, and end-of-life activities

• Experience coordinating with suppliers, external contractors, Operations, Quality, and other cross-functional teams

• Exposure to New Product Introduction (NPI) and operational/manufacturing support preferred

• Knowledge of engineering tools and methodologies such as DOE and SPC

• Strong technical leadership, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively across engineering, laboratory, production, and manufacturing environments

Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote. Candidates should be available to work fully onsite during the first 1 2 weeks.
