Medical Device Kitting Technician

Role Overview

Join a fast-moving medical manufacturing team as a Medical Device Kitting Technician in Franklin Park, IL. You will assemble finished medical kits, package products to specification, and verify quality in a clean, well-organized environment.

Compensation & Location

• Pay: $18.00–$18.50 per hour
• Location: Franklin Park, IL

Shifts

• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Fri–Sun: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (work 12 hours for 3 days and get paid for 40 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Build medical product kits following work instructions, SOPs, and production standards.
• Package completed items into pouches, trays, cartons, or other specified formats.
• Confirm component accuracy, quantities, labels, and lot numbers prior to sealing.
• Conduct visual quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Label, seal, and stage finished goods for shipment.
• Complete production and quality records with accuracy.
• Replenish parts, materials, and packaging supplies as needed.
• Follow GMP, safety policies, and quality procedures at all times.
• Keep workstations clean and orderly; report equipment or quality concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve daily output goals.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Prior experience in assembly, packaging, manufacturing, warehouse, or production preferred.
• Background in medical device, pharmaceutical, food, or other clean manufacturing is a plus.
• Comfortable following written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• Basic computer literacy is helpful.
• Works well independently and within a team.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for most of the shift (with occasional opportunities to sit).
• Use hands frequently for repetitive assembly and packaging work.
• Lift, carry, and move up to 35 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance if required).
• Routinely bend, reach, twist, and stoop.
• Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.
