About the Role

Step into a cleanroom where precision protects patients. As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll be the final safeguard for plastic and injection-molded components used in medical devices. This is a direct-hire position supporting a fast-paced, ISO 13485–compliant manufacturing operation.

A Day in the Life

You start your shift confirming lot readiness and reviewing product specs and blueprints. On the line, you perform in-process checks with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and occasionally a CMM. You compare measurements to tolerances, flag defects, and document results with accuracy. You’ll partner closely with production to verify materials and finished goods meet stringent quality standards. Before handoff, you complete final inspections, ensure records are clean, and uphold GMP and cleanroom protocols throughout.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect, test, and measure components and finished products for conformance
  • Use hand metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and CMM as needed
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine acceptance criteria
  • Detect nonconformances and ensure products meet established standards
  • Accurately record inspection data and maintain complete documentation
  • Execute both in-process and final inspection activities
  • Support production by verifying incoming materials and outgoing product quality
  • Adhere to GMP, ISO 13485, and cleanroom procedures

Schedule & Environment

  • 12-hour 2-2-3 rotation (includes weekends)
  • Day shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm
  • Night shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am (10% differential)

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing
  • Background with plastics or injection-molded components strongly preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and confidently use measurement tools
  • Comfort working a 12-hour, 2-2-3 rotating schedule
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and clear communication

Nice to Have

  • Experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing settings
  • Exposure to CMM or other advanced inspection systems
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and quality system practices

Technical Fluency

  • Quality inspection methodologies
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments
  • Statistical process control (SPC)
  • Pharmaceuticals and SOP-driven workflows
  • Tolerance analysis and precision hand metrology
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Blueprint reading
