    Location: Plymouth, MN
    Employment Type: W-2 Contract, 1 Year **NO C2C**
    Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
    Extension: Possibility of extension


    Role Overview

    BEPC is seeking a Medical Device Assembler to support the production of high-quality medical devices in a regulated manufacturing environment in Plymouth, Minnesota.

    In this role, you will work within a manufacturing cell performing assembly, repair, testing, and related production activities for medical devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies. This is a non-exempt position working under close supervision and following established procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

    This position requires the ability to read and comprehend written instructions at a 7th-grade reading level and accurately follow both written procedures and verbal instructions.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Assemble, repair, and test medical devices and related components according to established procedures.
    • Handle and maneuver small components and parts with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Follow standardized manufacturing procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and quality guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation to ensure product and component traceability.
    • Use electronic data collection systems and computer software to record manufacturing information.
    • Ensure manufacturing cell documentation remains accurate and up to date.
    • Identify and communicate production problems, quality concerns, and potential solutions to manufacturing leadership.
    • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives designed to improve production processes, product quality, and operational performance.
    • Support individual and manufacturing cell performance goals and metrics.
    • Apply a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • Follow applicable Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), safety, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain a professional and positive approach when interacting with coworkers, management, internal customers, and visitors.


    Qualifications

    • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to meet the required 7th-grade reading and comprehension level.
    • Ability to handle small parts and components accurately.
    • Ability to use electronic data collection systems and computer software.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks based on timing, importance, and production requirements.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
    • Ability to maintain accurate production and quality records.
    • Ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly in both written and verbal formats.
    • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • Ability to work effectively in a closely supervised, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


    Production Environment & Dress Requirements

    This position operates in a controlled medical-device manufacturing environment with specific gowning, cleanliness, and contamination-control requirements. Candidates must be able and willing to comply with these requirements during applicable interviews/tours and while working in production.

    Requirements include wearing clean, non-shedding clothing without loose fibers, frayed material, glitter, sequins, tassels, or similar items. Clothing must appropriately cover the torso, upper arms, and legs and fit beneath required production gowns or lab coats.

    Production-area footwear must be closed-toe and closed-heel, with socks or stockings required. Certain shoes, including sandals, clogs, slippers, and footwear with exposed toes or heels, are prohibited.

    Employees must also comply with restrictions regarding makeup, nail polish, artificial/acrylic nails, fragrances, jewelry, body piercings, and other items that may create contamination or safety risks. Required gowning and protective equipment must be worn as directed.
