Part-Time Medical Director / Addiction Psychiatrist Opportunity

Location: Monroeville, PA

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Psychiatrist to serve as a Part-Time Medical Director for a comprehensive behavioral health and substance use treatment program in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.

This is a one-day-per-week, on-site opportunity combining direct patient care with clinical leadership and supervision of Nurse Practitioners. The program provides a continuum of substance use treatment services, including detoxification, residential treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services.

The facility has a capacity of approximately 104 beds and is currently operating at approximately half capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site psychiatric care one day per week
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
• Provide clinical leadership and serve in a Medical Director capacity
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight to Nurse Practitioners
• Review and oversee patient treatment plans as appropriate
• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor patient response to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, nurses, therapists, counselors, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team
• Support continuity of care across detoxification, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of treatment
• Participate in clinical, quality, and compliance initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Help ensure care is delivered in accordance with applicable clinical and regulatory standards

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Fellowship training and/or demonstrated experience in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
• Board certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine preferred
• Eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license
• Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions
• Experience supervising Nurse Practitioners or other advanced practice providers preferred
• Medical Director or physician leadership experience preferred
• Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
