CareVet is offering a guaranteed $200,000 in base salary and bonus combination in your first year with Affton Veterinary Clinic for a full-time and experienced doctor to lead our hospital as Medical Director! This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving, well-established hospital in St. Louis, MO, where you’ll be supported by a collaborative and skilled team and have the flexibility to shape your compensation in a way that works best for you. Our Medical Directors dedicate over 90% of their time to practicing medicine, allowing them to stay fully engaged in patient care while leading the team. In addition to our customizable compensation package this position offers paid family leave, a production bonus plan, student loan support, clinical support, work/life balance, access to our vacation plan, and "true" paid time off!
Position Overview
The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of CareVet leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Medical Director are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.
