• Medical Doctor (MD) licensed by the State of Texas<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Active DEA registration<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ability to enroll as a Medicaid and Medicare Part B provider<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Prior medical director, supervisory, or clinical leadership experience preferred<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Experience managing complex medical, psychiatric, and/or behavioral health needs preferred<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ability to meet all agency and facility requirements prior to start<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Direct medical services across primary care, psychiatric, dental, pharmaceutical, and lab functions.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Oversee diagnosis and treatment for individuals with complex medical and behavioral needs.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Maintain responsibility for overall medical care and clinical service quality.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Serve as primary care physician for an assigned caseload.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Supervise physicians, APRNs, PAs, pharmacists, dentists, psychiatrists, and contracted staff.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Support clinical staff with complex cases and treatment planning.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, committees, conferences, and work groups.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Develop and share the on -call duty schedule.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Coordinate care for employees injured while on duty.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as needed.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Support emergency response and continuity operations as assigned.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Perform other duties as assigned.<\/span><\/span>
