Job Description:
Adelphi is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical services at a State Veterans Nursing Home in Jackson, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will provide onsite resident care by performing medical assessments, physical examinations, treatment planning, medication management, care plan review, discharge support, and medical oversight. This role supports resident health and continuity of care by ensuring timely primary medical services, regulatory-compliant medical coverage, and appropriate clinical documentation.

• Schedule: Services shall be provided 24 hours a day, 365 days per year; up to 40 hours on site weekly (excluding weekends), and the remaining hours on call.
Provider Requirements:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Mississippi.
• Board certified.
• DEA registration and authority to prescribe controlled substances.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facilities.
• Experience serving in a leadership or Medical Director role, overseeing clinical operations and providers.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations, including CMS, VA, Mississippi Department of Health, and nursing facility requirements.
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
