Job Description:

OHMC is seeking a Medical Director to join our Medical & Scientific Services team and drive the development, execution and delivery of multiple medical communication projects. The Medical Director will play a key role in developing new and strengthening existing client relationships, ensuring that the assist in the development and growth of new and existing client relationships, ensuring that the scientific needs of the account are being met with strategic focus, scientific rigor and accuracy, and clinical relevance. The Medical Director will also play a significant role in developing junior scientific team members.RESPONSIBILITIES:Scientific Content  Independently provide client-ready deliverablesDelegate work effectively and efficiently, providing clear, actionable feedback and directionOversee content development on a wide range of complex projects across multiple teams/therapeutic areas and guide the decision-making process in data analysisReview scientific content developed by scientific team members and guide others to develop this skillFiscal Responsibility Contribute to scope creation and provide feedback on scientific aspects of budget developmentCollaborate with the Client Services partner for forecasting, staffing, and resource planningStrategic Perspective and GuidanceServe as scientific lead on assigned accounts, providing strategic direction and leadershipDevelop understanding of the big picture in therapeutic categories through fundamental review of literatureDemonstrate strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and complianceClient Engagement and Influence Build and manage strong relationships with clients and medical experts communication channels with physicians and guides others in developing this skillModerate and facilitate effective, productive client sessionsTeam Engagement and Influence Communicate effectively and propose rational and appropriate solutions when conflicts arisePartner with Client Services on account / issues managementFull understanding of internal processes, and roles and responsibilities of members of all DepartmentsGuide career development and performance management for direct reportsBusiness Development Work with functional teams and Client Services to cross sell services showing an understanding of business environment and client business strategy/implicationsParticipate in business development initiatives with existing clients and contribute to RFPs and pitches for business with new clientsQUALIFICATIONS:An advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, PharmD) with 3 to 5 years of experience in a Medical Communications agency settingStrong therapeutic category knowledge and experience, especially (cite one or more categories)Experience working directly with pharmaceutical clientsDemonstrated ability to interpret data and provide strategic/scientific direction to clientsProficiency organizing teams and managing projectsStrong self-motivation and enthusiasm with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly detail-oriented environmentStrong knowledge of pharmaceutical standards, compliance, and regulationsOutstanding communication and presentation skills, including strong proficiency in related technologies (Microsoft applications, Internet research platforms, etc)Ability and willingness to travel as needed $100,000 - $140,000
