Family Pet Health Center, a CareVet partner, is seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our established small animal practice in South Bend, Indiana.

 

Founded in the 1930s, Family Pet Health Center has cared for generations of pets and families throughout the South Bend community. Today, you'll step into a modern, renovated hospital alongside three experienced veterinarians, a dedicated support team, and an established client base.

 

As Medical Director, you'll have the opportunity to guide medical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians, and influence the continued growth of the hospital — while maintaining an active clinical caseload and enjoying weekends off.

 

We're currently offering a $125,000 signing bonus package for this Medical Director opportunity.

As Medical Director, you'll serve as a trusted clinical resource for an experienced veterinary team while partnering with hospital and operational leadership on the continued success of the practice.

Responsibilities: Qualifications:

• Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
• Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
• Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
• Strong fondness and understanding of animals
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of animal behavior
• Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
