Medical Director

Medical Doctor – Skilled Nursing Facility

Do you want to make an Impact? Enjoy working with the Geriatric population? We are a Primary Care company, seeking to hire a Medical Director - Physician to join or team to provide medical care within a skilled nursing Facility.

We are looking for someone with the ability to cover our facilities in PA. 

Responsibilities:

• Performs medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, and medical review of complex medical services, ensuring timely and quality decision making.
• Provides medical expertise in the operation of approved quality improvement and utilization management programs in accordance with regulatory, state, and corporate requirements.
• Work directly with providers to mentor and educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care quality
• Participate in various administrative, clinical staff meetings
• Develop and update policies and procedures
• Providing primary care to patients, as a secondary to the in-house provider
• Prescribe medications including narcotics and controlled substances when needed.
• Enhancing cooperation and coordination between Nurses, Physicians and relevant medical departments, to ensure the success of the institution

Requirements:

• Medical degree from accredited program.
• Active NY license to practice in field.
