Physicians are encouraged to consider a full-time remote-first Medical Director position with Liberty Healthcare.

Liberty Healthcare helps people receive necessary long-term services and supports which promote greater independence, good health and wellbeing.

This is in part accomplished by assessing individual health status, living situation, abilities, activities of daily living, and other factors – and determining service eligibility and levels of care based on defined criteria.

As Medical Director, you will lead a large geographically dispersed remote team of medical professionals who will conduct these assessments at a high volume within a large managed care system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the accuracy, quality and timeliness of assessments and medical determinations
  • Hiring, training, and managing a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
  • Leading various quality assurance initiatives
  • Participating in key stakeholder meetings
  • Providing consultation on complex cases

Work setting and schedule

  • This is a virtual position which will enable you to work remotely from your home office in New York
  • You will primarily work Monday through Friday during daytime hours

Compensation and benefits

  • $325,000 per year

  • Board Certification – ideally in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of Long Term Services and Supports
  • New York residency
