- Full-time, 40 hours per week
Position Summary:
Generates treatment plans and dose calculations based on prescribed care plan. Works under the general direction of the Physician in Radiation Oncology department.
What you will do:
- Prepares computerized treatment plans.
- Calculates treatment times and monitor units for different therapeutic machines.
- Performs dosimetry checks on treatment charts.
- Assists in taking patient contours or other relevant patient measurements, obtaining patient data needed for planning and calculation.
- Assists in the set-up of complex treatments, both in the simulation room and treatment room.
- Works closely with and under the direction the Physician in Radiation Oncology department.
What you will need:
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board and current license maintained.
- Certification or re-certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire, as well as maintain ongoing recertification.
- One year of dosimetry experience. Basic math skills, able to read and understand English, ability to work with others, ability to develop independent thinking and judgment when makingdecisions. Aptitude for geometry.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
