Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
Maintain and update accurate patient records in the EMR system
Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately
Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations as needed
Ensure front desk area is organized and HIPAA-compliant at all times
Requirements:
Prior experience in a medical front desk or healthcare administrative role preferred
Bilingual
Familiarity with medical insurance verification and billing processes
Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and general computer skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment
