    Medical Front Desk | Physician Office Experience Required

    A busy medical office is seeking an experienced Medical Front Desk professional to support daily patient registration, scheduling, telephone coverage, and administrative operations.

    The ideal candidate will have at least two years of front-office or registration experience in a physician’s office, hospital, or urgent care setting. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to protect confidential patient information.

    Responsibilities:

    • Answer incoming telephone calls and direct callers to the appropriate person or department
    • Check patients in and assist with the registration process
    • Schedule patient appointments and prepare daily clinic activities
    • Collect patient payments and provide appropriate documentation
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
    • Pull, organize, and file patient records
    • Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system
    • Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned
    • Protect the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • At least two years of registration or medical front-office experience
    • Experience working in a physician’s office, hospital, or urgent care setting
    • Proficiency with computers and Windows-based software
    • Experience using electronic medical record systems
    • Strong typing, data-entry, and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy medical office

    Preferred Experience:

    • Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection
    • Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and medical office procedures
