A mission-driven community health organization in Albuquerque is seeking a Patient Registration Coordinator / Medical Scheduler to support front desk operations, patient intake, appointment scheduling, and overall patient communication.

Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and assist with check-in and registration
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, demographics, and required documentation
  • Collect payments, co-pays, and update account information as needed
  • Maintain accurate records in the electronic health record system
  • Support patient reminders, follow-up calls, and general front desk communication
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to help ensure smooth daily patient flow
  • Provide professional, compassionate service to patients in person and over the phone

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in medical front desk, patient registration, scheduling, or healthcare administration
  • Comfortable speaking with patients by phone and in person
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Experience in a community health, FQHC, clinic, or high-volume medical office setting is a plus
