Medical Front Desk Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional for a healthcare facility in Mercer County, NJ, specializing in patient reception and clinical preparation for mammography and breast imaging services. This role is pivotal in expediting patient care by managing check-in and check-out procedures, verifying patient records, and ensuring individuals are fully prepared for their mammogram appointments upon arrival.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet patients, manage check-in and check-out workflows, and accurately verify all demographic information upon arrival for routine screening and diagnostic mammograms.
• Clearly explain all pre-mammogram instructions, such as specific imaging guidelines like avoiding deodorants, lotions, or powders on exam day, ensuring full patient understanding.
• Verify insurance contract requirements for scheduled mammography exams, confirm coverage details, and remind patients of necessary documentation prior to their visit.
• Manage incoming and outgoing faxes via RightFax, batch orders and scripts into the system, follow up with ordering provider offices for clarification when needed, and assist with general administrative tasks.
• Maintain communication with the Lead regarding workflow concerns, support departmental wait-time standards, attend regular staff meetings, and adhere strictly to facility policies and compliance guidelines.

Schedule

• Tuesday – Saturdays: 6:30am-2:30pm
• Flexibility is required as the schedule may change to shortened hours depending on radiologist availability and the number of appointments scheduled.

Pay

• $20-$21 per hour
