Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
- No exceptions to the experience requirement.
- Recent Epic charting experience required.

- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2

Common Diagnoses and Treatments
The unit commonly manages patients with:
- Respiratory illnesses.
- Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding.
- Drug overdoses.
- End-stage kidney disease.
Special Procedures
- SLEDD (Sustained Low-Efficiency Daily Dialysis) continuous dialysis treatment.
Floating Requirements
RNs may be required to float to the following areas based on staffing needs:
- Other Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
- Step-down units.
- Transitional care units.
- ICU Surge Space on 6D.
Weekend and Holiday Requirements
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend.
