Medical Lab Technician

Pride Health is hiring Medical Lab Technician to support our client's team in Blacksburg, VA. This is a full-time, 13-weeks contract.

Job Summary:

This is a unique hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of both a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and a Phlebotomist. The selected candidate will split time between performing laboratory testing and collecting patient specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis.
• Process and prepare specimens for testing.
• Operate laboratory instruments and maintain quality standards.
• Document and report test results accurately.
• Follow laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Verify patient identification and prepare patients for collection.
• Label, process, and transport specimens.
• Maintain excellent patient care and customer service.
• Ensure proper specimen handling and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of phlebotomy experience
• Associate's Degree

• Pay Range: $22 - $26 hourly
• Shifts: 1st Shift
• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
