Required Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience, including generalist skills with blood bank expertise
- Certification from ASCP, MLT, or MT
- Ability to work independently after training and adapt to various lab departments such as Heme, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Kit Testing
- Flexibility to work alternating shifts (14:00-22:30 and 23:00-07:30), primarily on second shifts with rotating weekends
- Willingness to travel among sites: IU North, IU Fishers, and IU West
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with pediatric and adolescent cases
- Previous experience in hospital clinical laboratories
- Ability to float within scope to meet departmental needs
Preferred Education and Experience:
- ASCP MLS, MLT, or MT certification
- Previous experience working in short-term acute care hospitals
- Experience using Cerner charting system
Other Requirements:
- Must be flexible to work rotating weekends and major holidays (2 out of 3)
- Ability to reliably commute and travel among multiple sites in Indiana
- Willingness to work additional hours or different shift blocks as required
- Valid certifications and licensure reimbursement eligibility
This role offers competitive hourly pay of $44.53, with guaranteed shifts including 8, 10, or 12-hour options, totaling up to 48 hours per week.
